Two promotions questions
I picked up two bottles today at Red Rock. It is a 2002 Merlot bottled
by Red Diamond Winery. I did a google and Red Diamond is owned by Ste
Michelle Winery, which owns 7-8 others. The standard cost appears to
be $10.99 for the 2002. Red Diamond is bottled in Patterson, WA in the
heart of Washington's wine growing region. I haven't opened it, but I
was surprised to discover this pedigree, which is pretty good
actually. We visited a number of wineries in that area this summer.
The winery described it this way (no laughing please):
"The richest, and most complex vintage yet for our merlot. One whiff,
and you'll see what I mean "" your nose will fi ll with aromas of black
cherry, berries, plums, and spice. The rich fruit carries all the way
through and ends with a creamy cocoa note."
