I totally agree!!! I LOVED this trip report because it had so many
wonderful details that I am interested in, such as , quality of the rooms,
buffets and other meals, and relationships with hosts and other casino
workers. Sorry you were not treated like a queen in the vp world on your
birthday, but basically, you didn't do badly at all, assuming you count
comps, which I do. What a nice trip. I wish your Cubbies luck this year,
we are from Rhode Island and nearly expired from all the excitement at the
Series last year. Finally...a world Series!!! May you be next!! Thanks
again, Annie

Hi Karen,
Thanks for reading the report without falling asleep. I'm sure you
were tired from all the expert bridge playing you did in Pittsburgh,
where, as usual, I know you won everything in sight.
As for the royals, they have not been socializing with me in recent
trips. I think I said the juju incantation backwards or something.
They seem to landing on my immediate neighbor's screens. I have
considered charging a modest fee for sitting next me (just to defray
the cost of my vp losses). However, I'm hoping for better luck in
April.
Best regards,
Babe

Thanks Ann,
For those lovely words. I really enjoy reading the detailed TR's of
other posters, and try to put a lot of "human interest" material in
mine. I suspect that some other members would appreciate less XVP,
but I always try to identify the content in the heading, so that
those folks can just skip my posts. I'm always happy to hear that
someone enjoyed my post.

Unfortunately, they need more than luck! A healthy
starting pitcher and a capable closer, would go a long way towards
helping me enjoy my 80 or so Cub's game this summer.

WE almost expired with you!! The only thing that
would have better would have been a Red Sox/Cubs WS. We were
rooting so hard for the Sox, that we had to close our windows so
that the neighbors didn't complain. Unfortunately, the curse of the
Billy Goat prevailed, and we folded like a tent in September. My
only consolation is that my Excellent Husband has said many times,
that he only wants to live long enough to see the Cubs win a WS.
I'm not ready for him to depart yet, so I can wait awhile for their
WS win! That's a good thing because I think they'll be lucky to
finish 3rd in their division this year. I sure hope that Red Sox
repeat though.
Thanks again for your kind words!
Best regards,
Babe
