In a recent Casino Player article Bob Dancer discussed the difficulty
of presenting VP on TV. Many players agree, I think, there is no good
way to present VP on TV in the sense of a "championship" match, like
the World Series of VP. So what can be done?
When I discuss VP with people who don't gamble, most are surprised that
some VP games favor the player, and some people actually "make a lot of
money" playing VP. They can't imagine how that's possible.
So a better approach might be to present VP from an "educational" point
of view ... a series describing the skills needed to be a VP expert,
and how to go about getting those skills.
There is plenty of precedent for this approach. All of the VP books
for example.
