Tuscany: Continued to get 4x40 cash coupons (redeemable weekly)
together with free slot tourney invites that have a strong positive
equity. Since I haven't played all that much there recently, this
suggests that they are really struggling to attract customers. This
is too bad, since their VP inventory is as good as all but a few
places, and the casino is pleasant and quiet (and uncrowded!).
Palms has really cut me back this month as cash spiffs are down to
$15 (from $40). My play is only slightly less in June-July than in
previous months.
Stations sliced me to $20, down from $30, but my play there had
really tapered off during the same period, so that's not as
surprising. It's still not bad, although the restrictive redemption
periods practically guarantee that you'll never grab all the goodies
you have coming.
Coast Casinos stopped mailing me anything, even though I do have
play in June and July at Orleans and GC.
Out of town: it appears to be very worthwhile to play at Reno Hilton
(the former Bally's) in Sparks as moderate play generates great
offers. I continually get free room night offers with $50 slot play
thrown in. Cal-Neva sends room offers to anyone on their list; the
latest offer (which I can't take advantage of; dang!) is a free room
for one night and Reno Air Race tix for any night I choose during
the weekend of the races!
Tahoe: a couple of visits with about $10K coin-in continue to
generate strong offers from the Horizon; two free nights and $100
cash coupon. I can use this offer anytime. Harrah's has a $29-$39
room offer coupled with a $55 cash coupon that I can also use
anytime; I gave them some fairly strong play a year or so ago.
