Tuscany 10X Points Question

Does anything at Tuscany make sense?

I noticed they have now downgraded all the aces/faces games. For
those who don't think VPfree impacts casino decisions here is yet
another example. The games weren't even that good. All the paybacks
were worse than 9/6 JOB which can be found in many places on the
strip. The games were all negative (except on 10x point days which
now seem to have disappeared as well). They were only a couple tenth
of a percent better than BP which they still have and which is
probably "played" at a higher return than any of these games.

So, these games get mentioned on VPFree and they are immediately
downgraded. Come on folks, wise up. Posting any game on VPFree
increases the probability the game will be taken away. That benefits
no one.

See FAQ #60: http://members.cox.net/vpfree/FAQ.htm#60

I believe that Tuscany paranoia and fallout from their double
jackpot fiasco should get the credit for the removal of these
games, rather than their outing on vpFREE.

In any event, vpFREE believes that the free and open exchange of
information is vital and beneficial to the video poker community
as a whole, and is dedicated to sharing, promoting and preserving
all attractive games that can survive and prosper in an open
market environment. If publicity kills a good game that had been
a secret, it's no great loss to the video poker community as a
whole, since they weren't even aware of the game previously.

There were many, many machines played that night. As far as I've seen
only the games mentioned on VPFree have been downgraded. I will check
some of the others the next time I am there.

Many players played these games. ANY loss of ANY good VP game affects
the VP community. These games were not secrets and were not
especially great. The were available for several years. You can blame
casino paranoia but without the VPFree post to create that paranoia
the games would likely still be available to many players.

I think it's time to realize that the current VPFree position is
obsolete. For a few years terrorists used the internet with ease to
communicate. Now, due to increased gov't monitoring of the internet
they have been forced to use other means. Although my anology may be
a little flawed we are faced the a similar situation. The opposition,
casinos, are now monitoring our communications. We can bury our
collective heads in the sand or look for another approach.

vpFREE disagrees as detailed in FAQ #60.

Everyone should use FREEvpFREE or private email to me,
if they care to discuss any vpFREE policy or procedure.
I'll read and consider all suggestions or comments.

I don't know about "flawed", but it does conjure up some rather
perverse images. I'm envisioning a Department of VP Security (with a
Director who, for the sake of convenience, we'll just call "The Czar").

Wouldn't it add the sweetest bit of irony if Ellis Island were to
become our "Guatanamo Bay"?
