Turtle Creek

I noticed today that they have NSUD on their spin poker for $1. Had never checked that high denom before, as it is beyond my means. Machines have all been moved around, but inventory still seems the same.

Spin Poker is an interesting, exciting game, but you better have the correct strategy down pat or you will lose a ton of money. Find the correct strategy online.
I used to play it at Motor City for dollars. Started losing too much money and quit playing it.

I quit going up to the Traverse City area to gamble when Turtle Creek and the Leelanau Sands casinos pulled all their Pick'Em Poker machines out. Not much to play there now that gives you are fair chance to win.

Still lots of decent 25c games other than Pick Em, though. NSUD, 9/6 JoB 9/7 Double Bonus 8/5 Bonus 9/6 DDB. All over 99 percent. Not great, but not bad.

If you go up to the Sands to play, be careful of the lone 100-play machine that is up there. I played it last fall on a multiplier promotion of triple points and "expected" to net like over $150 in cash back for my play for 6 hours of playing it. After I played mostly 10-play quarters on it and lost a lot, I went to the slot club to redeem some cash back and I was told I had less then $10 coming back. After doing my own calculations and then having a supervisor confirm my total loses, that 100-play machine is giving you credit at the card reader for penny play regardless of what denom you are playing. My brother-inlaw then played it the following month and also got shorted for his play. I really do wish they would go back to a countdown on the card readers there and hate it when you put your card in and only see the word "Accepted" on the display. If I would have saw this on a penny countdown for my play I could have done something right away. They refused to adjust my play and give me more points, but they did do that for my brother-inlaw the following month, because they told me, that they would check the machine out later by a tech, but obviously they did not, as 30 days passed and they did nothing. So I have not been back up there since then, since that place has left a bad taste in my mouth, and there is not much left to play up there now, since they took out the old $1 coin droppers that had 9/7/5 DBL bonus on them in the BJ room, which was probably the best play there, after they removed the fullpay pickem.

The 100-play machine had some fun/good games on it also, 9/6 JOB, the wild and crazy game of Royal Aces at 99.58%, and the 8/5 Super DBL, DBL Bonus game of 99.69%, 9/7/4 Triple DBL at 99.58%, NSU deuces and Bonus deuces also, and White hot aces. The reason I went was hopefully to put enough points on to get to be Chairmen in a day and "maybe" break out even with the cash back during the 3 x points. I got like 800 points total for my play and lost my butt !!!!!!!!! lol When the supervisor came over and told me what my loses were from his computer printout, I opened my wallet and said, YUP, you got it all, that was exactly what I had lost, but the point play rewarded was only equal to what I had lost, or stuck physically into the bill accepter, which really meant, that during my play, I had never won anything back and then rebet it for more points to be earned, which didn't make any sense. They were like, yah you "spent" this much and got this many points credited for that, but that meant I had never won a hand back on my play. I could tell the supervisor never played a hand of VP, so it was like talking to the wall and I guess if I was playing slots, "maybe" I could have lost on every spin of the wheel... but not on 5 hours of 10-play quarters !!!!!

Amazing when you "think" you have found a good play and it goes terribly wrong on you !

Maybe I should do less thinking in the future . . .

What denomination? I did not see anything near those percentages last spring on quarters.

This 100 play machine is located at Leelanau Sands Casino and not at the Turtle Creek casino, although they share the same slot card, and your points can be earned on the same account and card at both casinos. There is (1) 100-play machine there with denoms of pennies/nickels/quarters. I was playing the quarter denom, but I do believe that the pennies might have had the same payoffs, as I was playing 100 hands of pennies at one time, and I think most of the games had the same paytable as the quarters ....

Turtle Creek has 2 100-plays with .02/.05/.25 denoms with 9/6 JOB, NSU deuces, 9/7/5 DBL Bonus, 9/7/4 Triple DBL bonus, 9/6 DBL, DBL and a bad kings or better joker poker 4700/85 at 98.44%. Some of THESE games are only good at the quarter level and nickel, like the 9/6 JOB and NSU deuces are the same at .25 and .05 denom, other games have different pays at each denom, so you just have to pay attention to what denom and what game you are playing. On the 9/6 DBL, DBL bonus game, it's the same at all 3 denoms and I think that is the only game like that.
