Can anyone recommend the best $.25/$.50/$1 VP spots in Tunica? I
really like $.25 triple-plays if it is available. I'd like to try
Fitzgeralds if possible.
Tunica
Carol,
I have only been to Tunica once. I did stay at Fitzgerald's and it was nice. I played .25 JB and .05 DW. However, I had not put in the time on VP that I have now. I will be headed back next week. Sort of a practice session before We head to Vegas in May. However, I have found a link that I have used to try and scout out what is in Tunica. I do not know how valid, up to date or accurate that it is. So READER BE WHERE !!!
Look under Where to play, select traditional games, select Tunica. You can download the game inventories and it will show you casino by casino what VP games that they have. When I looked some of the updates are two years old and as you know, allot can change in two years.

For the most machines the place to play is the grand. They have aces and faces and double aces and faces in .25,.50 and $1.00. I have never seen any triple play at the grand but it has been some time since I have been there. Hollywood does have job in .25 and some triple play but I am not sure of the pay table on it. Sams town has triple play with 9 7 double bonus. They also have 2 nsud in .25 and 9 6 dd bonus in quarters and dollars. The sheraton used to have some fpdw but I think they took them out. Gold strike has a lot of games but bad paytables and the horseshoe has very few video poker games at all. I try and go to tunica twice a year but have never been to fitzgerlds. Give a report on the vidoe poker there when you get back. Hope this helps. Rick

I think Harrahs also has some 9/6

Hollywood has a bank of 9/6 JOB
Hollywood has a few places for 9/6. One bank of .25, one bank of $1
and $1 9/6 bartops at both bars.
Hollywood also has the best CB in Tunica. I believe it is .6%
Comps at Hollywood are also very easy for either their buffet or the
Diner. The buffet is fair, but I hear their Friday night seafood
buffet is an improvement. The Diner is excellent for burgers and that
type of grub.
The Directors Club (Hollywoods version of the Harrahs Diamond lounge)
is excellent. All top shelf liqour and staffed with a bartender from
noon to ~3am on weekends. Also serve 2 warm appetizers and cold
finger foods throughout the day/night.
I think Harrahs also has some 9/6
Harrahs has 9/6 at .25, .50, $1, $1 3play, $5, and $5 3play. Beware
the Harrahs $1 3plays. They do not accurately accrue Reward Credits.
The worst CB in Tunica, about .1%
Comps at Harrahs are good, in comparison to other Harrahs properties,
but only fair in comparison to other Tunica casinos. Harrahs buffet
stinks, but the Bistro (their coffee shop) is decent.
Harrahs Diamond lounge is just ok. Finger foods at nights, but no
bar. However, you MUST go inside the men's bathroom. It is the most
unique of ANY bathroom I've ever been in.
Any other ?'s, feel free to email me.

Unless things have changed in the last month, this isn't true for quarter VP -- at least not for casual gamblers like myself. It's always been .333% for as long as I can remember.
120 quarters = 1 point = $30.00 coin in
1 point = ten cents -- therefore, 50 points = $5.00
50 points at $30.00 coin in per point = $1,500.00 for $5.00 cash back.

Just for everyone's info, when I was there last month I played all night until about 4:00 a.m., and then went to bed. Got up around 9:00 and went down to ask for a comp for breakfast. They denied it saying that I hadn't played enough; I didn't feel like arguing with them, so I just walked away, but then I turned around and when back and asked how many points that they were showing. I was told none for that day; I explained that I had been playing until about 4 in the morning, and was told that they reset there records at 6:00 a.m. She gave me a comp, sort of begrudgingly, and I decided that the best thing to do is to ask for your comps immediately when you stop playing and BEFORE you go to bed.

This is correct. 'Marquee' status is needed to earn the premium CB
rate. $24K coin-in (800pts) during any 6 month period earns Marquee
status. Requalification is not needed. Once Marquee, always Marquee.
I asked my host if requalification is ever needed, and he
said, "Nope, this isn't Harrahs!".

Probably the best payback machines are the One-eyed Jacks Wild
machines at Grand Casino. They had multiple denoms available the last
time I was there (1.5 years ago). I'm going back next month, so I'll
find out if they're still available.
The strategy for this game is difficult and you may not want to put
in the time to learn it. Also, there's no way to program the game
with winpoker or fvp. However, you can come close with winpoker's two
joker game. If you're interested let me know and I'll give you more
info.
