Tunica

Anyone have opinions on Gold Strike vs Sheraton in Tunica? I'd lean
towards Sheraton because it's part of the Caesar's system (right?) &
I've heard both have good VP at quarter & 50-cent level. But
otherwise, I know nothing (about comp system, food, how nice the
rooms are, etc). Any advice is appreciated.

The only thing that I know about is JoB in quarters. Goldstrike and Horseshoe are wastelands; Sheraton next door has 9/6.

Cheers.

Just don't eat at the Sheraton, not good… The video poker is good
though…

Have a good one....

I was just there a few weeks ago and went to all the casinos. I seem
to recall, the Sheraton had some of the best VP in Tunica, in their
new VP court. They have some good quarter and nickel, sequential
royal progressives, with decent pay tables. I want to say they were
9/6 for DDB. They also have some 9/7 or 10/7 DB quarter games. I have
received some room offers from the Sheraton but I'll be leaving for
Vegas in a couple of weeks. We strictly played single play quarters.

Numerous M&Ms with 9/6 JB have recently been installed at Gold
Strike. $.25/.50/$1 denom.

Harrahshoe is still a wasteland.

Was at Sheraton two weekends ago. They now have a VP Pit on the
first floor. They have put in many new upright, MG/MD machines with
lots of 9/6 JOB.

I just got back from Tunica last night. This is what I found:

Sheraton: I couldn't believe my eyes, but I promise you, I double
checked:
4 machines upstairs, non-smoking area: nickel, dime, quarters, 50-
cents, $1; 12 games:
10/7 DB!!!
10/6 DDB
2-pair JW
9/6 JB
50/9/6 Bonus Poker Deluxe,
9/4/3 Bonus Deuces Wild
100/9 Triple Bonus Plus
9/5 Super Double Bonus
9/7 Triple Double Bonus
9/5 Super Aces
8/5 Bonus Poker
Triple Pay Deuces with its variance of 96.53.

These games are too exotic for me with too high a variance, but they
are "full pay" and some people like to play them.

Also, in 3 machines at top of escalator at far end are quarters, 50-
cent, dollar and $5 games with the same above schedules.

And tons of machines in VP Pit and main VP area with a lot of these
games, though not all and sometimes you have to hunt for them among
machines with bad schedules.

Sheraton's CB is .33 percent.

Gold Strike has the 2-Pr JW in 50-cent games and the Triple Pay DW
in quarters, besides the 9/6 JB in quarters, 50-cents and dollars.
GS's CB is .5 percent (1 percent on double point Tuesdays).

I could not find NSUD at GS, but it could be I just overlooked it.

I did find NSUD at Fitzgerald's. Does anyone know where else it
might be?

Wow! 8/5 Super Aces is FP (99.9%), and 9/5 comes out to 101%.

Oops, typo. It's plain ol' 8/5.
Linda

I was wrong after all about these machines. some of them have been
shorted in SF and 4OK payouts when max coins are played. I'll be
sending Tom a list so that he can change the database.
Looks like in my excitement at having found a 10/7 DB in MS, outside
Gulfport, and despite my double checking the one coin column and
despite automatically checking the 4000 coins for a royal, my eyes
failed to travel down to the SF payback for max coins.
I am very very sorry for the false hope I may have created in MS
gamblers.
