Went and did better than usual, although no Royals; did manage to get one STFL. Stayed at Hollywood; they still have just 3 JoB-9/6 machines, although it seems that they might have moved them back one or two rows/banks in the direction of the hotel lobby/registration desk. Perhaps I was just imagining it, but they definitely seemed closer to the bar than they used to be, which was handy because all three were occupied when we got there, so I just sat at the bar and played JoB-8/5 single-coin, and was close enough to feel safe in getting up frequently was available at the 9/6. Eventually one became available, so I was able to quickly move to get it. Played nothing but 9/6 full-coin after that, and time flew by (we got there late to begin with because we hit _2_ separate traffic jams on I-40 (we were at a _dead_ stop during one of them for at least 30 minutes) plus we got a late start from Little Rock to begin with, so I wasn't able to start gambling until almost 9:pm. Consequently, I never took my usual stroll around the casino to see if they've added anything new, or to see if they have changed any other paytables. Also never made it next door to check on Harrah's like I said I would try to do; however, I just read a post from someone else who said that Harrah's still has plenty of JoB-9/6 -- so many that they are not hard to find. By the way, in case you missed it, Harrah's has a sign posted at the slot-club desk that says that for every 100 points, you now get one dollar off of your meal; also, last I checked, they don't have any _cash_back_ anymore -- just bounce back. They can kiss my patewtie.

By the way, one interesting note about the vp at Hollywood (I'm _pretty_ sure about this unless my mind was playing tricks on me), the session count on my players card started at 80 while playing the JoB-8/5 at the bar (which would mean a cash-back rate of a half percent) while the JoB-9/6 still starts at 120 (a cash-back rate of a third percent). Naturally, it isn't worth playing 8/5 for the higher cash-back, but I thought I'd just mention that.

The next day we went to Horseshoe because that's where my daughter _really_ wanted to go; it is a vp wasteland, so I played single-coin quarters on their BlackJack machines and lost a little bit, but the nice thing about Horseshoe is that they have the best buffet (in my opinion) in Tunica, and it's fairly easy to comp a meal there; we comped ours after only about an hour and a half of single-coin quarter play. By the way, I did go to the trouble of verifying the JoB at Horseshoe yet again -- for the third visit -- because I still find it almost impossible to believe that it is so bad, but ... yep ... the only JoB in the whole joint is only _6_/5, and that includes even the _dollar_ machines. We then went next door to GoldStrike; the best JoB that I could find there is 8/5 at the bar, and oddly enough, all of the JoB on the floor was only 7/5, so you're actually better off at the bar which is roomier and comfortable, whether you drink or not.

All in all, had a very nice trip, although we did get stuck in a big traffic jam again on the way home. :-/
