A few updates from Tunica, after a whirlwind trip:
Grand: Now changed to Harrah's, made official on May 23 with
appropriate fanfare and new Paula Deen Buffet (very good). Only 50c/$1
9/6 Jacks is in bartops at the Sphere bar.
Sheraton: No 1-cent/100-coin bank upstairs anymore that I could see.
Some spin poker there now, but didn't check paytables on anything
other than DW (15/9). Still best overall VP in town. Current promotion
gives all players $5 in free-play per hour on Thursdays plus other
random awards every 15 minutes, directly downloadable at the machine.
Gold Strike: No more 9/6 Jacks anywhere. Apparently a VP wasteland now.
The Fitz (as Fitzgerald's prefers to be called now): Three downstairs
machines in high limit area (directly across from cage) with $1/$2/%5
9/6 JB, 8/5 BP, 9/6 DDB. Didn't check other schedules.
All other properties correct as currently listed, AFAIK.
Comps: Still pretty much "if you play, you eat." I'm generally a
frugal player, but I haven't paid for food in Tunica in nearly a decade.
