Tunica Roadhouse

Best games I found last night: 98.9% versions of deuces and DDB.
Select machines/denoms have 9/5 JB. (lots of 7/5, incl $5 uprights)

About a month ago we were there and all the machines that are listed in the VPFREE2 database were there (10/6 DDB, DW44, SA, etc.) Are you saying that these are all gone?

Yes.

I won't describe my inventory check as "exhaustive", but I scanned half a dozen various slant tops and uprights.

Roadhouse apparently has made a fairly clean sweep of the machines. However, there are some mild curiosities. For example, Jacks were 7/5 on the slants at $.25/$.50, but 9/5 at $1. The upright Jacks were 7/5 on $1/$5, but 9/5 at $2.

Given such an idiosyncrasy, there might be a "diamond buried in the rough" on those machines ... but the widespread good paytables are definitely history.

We were there Tuesday, Apr 16 and discovered the same. A local said that it apparently happened that morning or the previous night. We were there on a Signature Experience and looking forward to some good VP only to be disappointed. I did find one upright with 9/6 Jacks at the $5 level. Also, there was a penny machine (also an upright) with a 9/6 game with a progressive. Max play was 100 pennies and Royal was at $1068 at the time (vs. $800).

Local also said that the Millionaire drawings each weekend were getting much less added business than anticipated. Various staff reiterated that they have heard loud and clear the uproar from the locals about the changes to the pay schedules.

I am very disappointed this happened. I hope the uproar stays strong, I remember reading Harrah's Rincon trying to pull this crap awhile back and it got eventually reversed.

Also glad to hear that it's still 9/6 JoB for the penny progressive. My last two trips there the game was > 100% due to the progressive. I didn't hit it though. :frowning:

And Harrah's just keeps doing stupid stuff. Why give away $1M to one person every week? Most people will figure they have a chance in hell of winning and go to the other casinos' weekend promos.

A quick reality check: Good BP games (incl BPAF, Ace$) is as good as it gets at Rincon, right? The 9/6 JB never were reinstated?

This promo got my attention ... first time I recall a "guaranteed" winner on a prize of that size. All too often, it's "must be present" with no redraw for a no-show.

Still, most would seem to be similarly unimpressed. If anything, the player crowd was a little thinner than usual at the Tunica properties this last weekend.

I haven't seriously kept an eye on VPFree except for the past 18 months or so.
(Thanks Super Times Pay/Double Super Times Pay) So I have never seen Rincon
have 9/6 JoB, but I recall a 2+2 Poker poster complain that all the machines
were cut down from 8/5 Bonus to 7/5 Bonus temporarily and that it eventually got
reinstated back to 8/5 Bonus. If you look at the comments for Harrah's Rincon it briefly went to "Nothing Good" over 1 year ago.

On VPFree2, the best game they currently offer is also the best Double Super
Times Pay game I am aware of in the country (tied with off-strip Vegas): 8/5
Bonus (99.67%). So my jealousy is quite high for Rincon since Double STP is my favorite game. :frowning:

There are two. Two of the uprights on the south wall have 9/6 JOB and 8/6 BP.
