Obviously, not an issue to you because you're not walking in her
shoes. She's rightfully concerned, and the reason is crystal clear.

If they go after more money from her and her husband that she

sneaks money from at every turn, she won't have much to gamble with
any more. Now just THINK of the position a scenario like that would
put YOU into! Pathological gambling addicts don't respond well to

having cash around any longer. That's her true concern.
Do you really have to be so foolish? The worst that can happen is she
is forced to claim all the w2gs on her 1040 and possibly lose some
deductions. Of course, that's no worse than if she had started with
that approach. The other possibility is the IRS says OK and she pays
less in taxes.
