Partner and I spent what I think will be our last weekend there this past
Sat. We come from Illinois pretty much every weekend and put thru a pretty hefty
combined play which used to result in a free hotel stay each week as well as
bounceback from Trump. The mail offers have ceased as has the room offers so we
will be heading over to Resorts from now on to generate room offers since we
play long into the night & need a place to sleep. We used to stay there all
the time when it was Harrahs and it is a dramatically nicer hotel anyway. Trump
hotel is basically a dive comparatively but we're only there to sleep and free
is free right? Anyone here getting regular room offers from Resorts? Any idea
what play it takes to kick start marketing to send us room offers?
The 2nd floor vp on the formerly Trump is now non-smoking and was like a
graveyard. As a consequence, Majestic's vp room was totally packed. Very few seats
available and very frustrating. The long time bartender on the non-smoking
2nd floor vp says they are losing money by the buckets the past few weeks and
she doesn't expect the non-smoking ban to hold up. As a matter of fact, we saw
numerous people smoking in that room right in the presence of security so I
don't believe they are truly enforcing it unless someone were to complain. Both
the dollar and quarter single line progressives were primarily empty.
Anybody else have any thoughts since the changeover?
