Tropicana Question

The New Year's Eve invitation from the Tropicana Laughlin is from Allan Kronberg.

Is that the person who replaced Crazy Craig DeMarta? How did the hosts hold up? Usually we were free to contact our host at the Trop, but this invitation specifically provides a number and promotion code.

It looks like they will be changing from Tropicana Express to Tropicana Laughlin, and indeed a host at the Mont Bleu told us all the properties would be Tropicana 'something'.

It's really a shame to see this place going downhill, we found it to be a real treat, and not as popular as other places on the River amongst VP players. We were pretty happy with the 7's pay triple, but now that's gone, and the River Palms is looking bad too.

We used to go to Laughlin 6 times a year, now we just go when a Harrahs junket works into our schedule. Kind of sad, if we wanted to we could play bad VP within 30 minutes of our home, no need to travel to Nevada to play bad VP.

Don't know about the name, but do know that people are saying several hosts were let go (not sure how many or which specific hosts).

But see my separate post about some machines being added back ...

Actually,
you could still play GOOD vp (albeit with fewer benefits),
at EW-CB (a few banks of 100% games),
and at the Pioneer.
GN and Riverside still have some decent (DDJ) games as well,
for bonus Aces/Faces players.

M.
PS - I think I've given up on RP/TROP too, as they simply are cutting back stuff for vp players too much. Too bad, as I still like to VISIT the TROP property (its kitchy train decor and such during holidays, and decent cafe/Mex. restaurant and even deli under the stairs)....
