Tropicana Express & future of Laughlin

It's really a shame that people keep on reporting misinformation. I was
there last week & didn't have any trouble finding 8/5 BP with 7's pay triple.
At least a dozen machines in high limit & near check-in. the signs were so
obvious that I have to think this was deliberate misinformation. The real
change that ought to be reported is that the point rate is $6/pt. It's
reminiscent of old times but I think it's still better than the Ramada Express
rate. It was my 2nd 1-day trip to Laughlin this year &, sad to say, I think
I have to keep my trips to Laughlin to a minimum. Even though I prefer
Laughlin, LV is so desperate, their offers are so much better that it leaves
little time for Laughlin. I think the future ahead is clouded since the cheap
LV room rates, discount shows & meals will be around for a while & will
suck a lot out of the Laughlin market. Most likely the weaklings won't
survive. (River Palms has been there before.)

NO IT WAS NOT A DELIBERATE CASE OF MISINFORMATION. The machines have been changed multiple times over a matter of weeks. Yes, there are now some full 8/5 BP with 7's in the high limit area (even with $1, $2, $5). No, they were not always there. Yes, there are multiple $1 full 8/5 machines $1 with 7's in the non-smoking area (as I already reported). No, they were not all there at Thanksgiving (only 4 instead of the present 10).

No, as of yesterday, there was no 7's promo at the bar ... but the machines are full 8/5 BP instead of the 7/5 they were for a day or two.

I'm sorry that since I'm spending half a day undergoing my present cancer treatment to walk through Tropicana on a daily basis to give an update and will not post any further info on this group. I thought I was giving people a heads up as to some of the things going on ... and to be accused of giving deliberate misinformation ...

Your updates are very valuable and appreciated. I hope you
won't discontinue them just because someone mistakenly
came to an incorrect conclusion.

Tom - Thanks for the effort you have put in, if everyone contributed as much, many would benefit.

TedChee - Thanks for your information, it is very helpful.

As much as we have enjoyed The Ramada and Tropicana, we just can't plan to make a trip and spend time at a place without a stable inventory of VP we consider playable.
