Trop Express Remodel and Promo

Well the Caboose Lounge was closed for a few days. The sign stated that they
were going to open up again on Wednesday evening. They made their goal. The
Caboose Lounge is about the only VP/Live music play left in Laughlin. The
music starts most days at noon and three acts are the norm.

The remodel constisted of taking down the overhead stuff and progressive
meter signs. The bartop and island service area got new lamination. They put the
same older TITO VP back in the same spots. Now you have a better sight line
of the stage.

There actually is a nice ceiling in the joint. Track halogen lighting was
added. It looks nice.

I did the electronic/money booth drawing on Thursday. This was my first
drawing at TE. It was run by an old face/voice...Captian "bobblehead" Bob. You
may remember Bob from the CB where he wore the Captain's garb and shorts on his
300+ lb. frame and ran a good promotion.

You earned an entry with 25 points ($75 coin-in) and had to activate your
stash after noon for the 2,4,6,8pm drawings. One swipe a day is all you needed.
The PA system was the best I have ever heard in a casino. You had two
minutes so you could be anywhere in the casino, a fine feature. Even the live music
took their breaks at the right time.

This was the old catch the money in the wind machine promo. Two won at each
drawing. You could designate a money catcher. A Grandma type snagged only
$65 and others $200-350. Hard to put a value on this one, but it was well run.

Other stuff-

The pool looked nice. They have adult hours starting and ending the day.

Still nothing to play but the lower denomination Bonus 8/5 (quad 7s pays
triple). They really did a purge.

Slot club is 1/6% cb and 1/3% comps for a 1/2% card. Watch out though, like
AQ stuff expires one year after earning them, so turn over your cb/comp
balances. The slot day starts at 4am.
