Their website says the earning periods are the six months Jan-June and July-Dec. Benefit periods are Aug-Jan and Feb-July.

Did you see something that indicates a calendar year basis?

No, they sent me a letter indicating how many points I have and what I
needed to get to for the next level before Dec 31.

So the earning periods should be as you stated.
