Triple Royal at Atlantis

Last weekend, I was playing SpinPoker for dimes at Atlantis (the
maximum bet on the machine I was playing) in Reno. Got dealt four to
a royal & drew to the final card. Got the Ace of Diamonds I needed on
the top line, a king on the 2nd line, & a blank on the third.

4000 dimes is $400, & because the way the lines criss-cross in
SpinPoker, I got it 3 times. The king gave me a high pair (50 cents)
times 3. So the payoff was $1201.50, & they took my SS# for the IRS
because I was over the $1200 threshold. D'oh!

The guy who did the paperwork said it was the first time he'd seen
someone get a triple-royal on those machines (meaning the two
SpinPokers upstairs) at max bet, which is surprising, if true.

I thought all the employees at Atlantis were pleasant & helpful. They
must make a greater effort in this area than some other casinos.

The stay was over a weekend, with a mailed offer of 2 free nights
plus a dinner buffet. I played lots of dime SpinPoker ($4.50/play), &
some JOB or SDB multi-play, usually 60 hands at 1cent or 2cent level
($3-$6/play). At the end, they comped my 3rd night plus an addition
dinner buffet for two, leaving me to pay for 3 breakfasts.

Maybe I didn't play enough for a complete comp, though I figured
maybe that since I was ahead well over $1500 for this trip, as well
as a smaller win on my previous Atlantis trip, & played mostly EV+
(though not completely), that may have reduced the host's generosity?

Great place, though. Rooms a bit nicer than Silver Legacy. Great
buffet. Nice variety of games, lots near or above 100% (I'm thinking
that Sun-Thu, the COD promo must make SDB near even).
