I agree and would like to hear from others. The paytables for the
big hands
seem to be equal on the DDB, TDB, etc., no matter whether the 10/7,
9/6,
etc. vary for the full house, flush payouts. You can't survive without
hitting the quads so is it really worth it to avoid the bad payout
machines
containing lesser payouts on the little hands?

Lets compare The 9-7-4-2-1-1 paytable at 99.58%
with a 8-5-4-2-1-1 paytable at 96%
on average you will get a FH every 96 hands in this game, and if you
play the shorted game you are giving the casino 5 coins everytime that
happens, and you will get a FL every 64 or so hands and you are giving
the casino 10 coins each time this happens, so over the course of
playing say 1500 hands you will hit about 15 FH and not receive 75
coins that you would have gotten in the full pay version, and you
would hit about 23 Flushes and not get 230 coins that the full pay
version would give you, that is 305 coins not on your credit meter
that would be there on full pay. Yes on this game you will go broke
if you dont get any quads, but on the short paytable you will go broke
much faster. Hopefully those extra coins will get you to a quad and
keep you going.
