We made 2 trips to Vegas recently - stayed at the Strat both times
because they had the best offers, but we played mostly FPDW at Gold
Coast. Doubt that we'll get any more offers from the Strat, but we
don't like it much since they removed all those old VP machines they
used to have anyway.
Stayed 4 nights the week of Labor Day. We hit the deuces enough to
come out ahead at Gold Coast and then I hit a Royal at the Palms, so
it was a good week for us low-rollers.
WorryFree was offering $79 roundtrips from DFW so we went again for 3
nights last week. We went straight from the airport to the Gold Coast
and I hit a Royal in less than 5 minutes. I've seen a lot of people
hit one right off the bat, but that was the quickest one I've ever
made. We both hit deuces there and then I hit the Loose Deuces at the
Strat after we checked in, so we were up a couple of grand our first
night. The other days weren't nearly that good, but we got another
free vacation and came back with some money for the bankroll.
Lots of fun, but we probably won't be back till next year (unless they
keep tempting me with those cheap flights).
