It seems a lot of the locals do not like the new machines. One man
who congratulated me said it was very unusual for the new machine
to pay off. I noticed most of the older machines where being
played, but a lot of the new machines where not in use. I think
people are slow to change, and people like to stick with machine
they are familiar with and have won on. I don't think there is any
difference in the long-term payoff of the machines. Personally, I
like the new machines. They are ticketed, fast, and easy to play.)
I've also noticed that the old FPDW machines at Gold Coast get much
heavier play than the new machines.
I like coinless machines but I still play the old slow machines at GC
because I like having all of the buttons in line with each other, rather than
having the deal and draw buttons offset as they are on the new machines.
