Thanks to everyone for the info about Laughlin. The morning we left upstate NY (Watertown) the temperature was -22. Nearly 18 hours later in Laughlin we were enjoying 80 degree weather. The two young ladies (26 yrs old) with me on the Total rewards flight were the youngest by about 25 years. The one lady had never been inside a casino her whole life. So her highlight of the trip was catching the four eights as the “card of day” at the Pioneer. She also happened to be picked as an on stage guest during the Dirk Author magic show on Valentines Day. Pioneer casino was actually our favorite hangout. We visited every casino during our four day stay, but constantly returned to the Pioneer for the good beer , antique vp machines, good atmosphere and "card of the day " luck. On Friday my daughter and myself hit the four nines for card of the day. My came at 11:45pm -just under the wire-; when I took the ticket to the card place the lady told me only six card of day hits had been registered. Just wondering how many people don’t realize the offering and leave money on the table.
Had two Royals for $1000 each on the trip. One at the Riverside, and the other at Harrahs. Since I was basically bank rolling the two young ladies…it saved the trip from being a financial disaster. The only bad part was the constantly carding of the young ladies even though they were wearing wrist bands.
