Trip Report

Last Wednesday I had a most unusual VP Day at Argosy Lawrenceburg, and
my luckiest. I arrived for my daytrip at 9:a.m. and played $1 DDB
progressive. By 11;30a.m., I had hit quad Aces without the kicker
twice, and a few other quads and was up $2500.00 By 3;30 p.m., I lost
all of it including my stake money. Out of money, I decided to call
it a day. I went to get my $60.00 cash back, had to take the chit to
the cashier in the casino, got my money. As I was leaving, I was
passing the $1 DDB and decided, what the heck's another $60.00.

Within a few hands, I hit quad jacks which gave me some money to play
with. A few hands later, I hit quad A's without the kicker. An hour
later, I hit the A's again, then 4-2's with kicker. An hour later, I
hit quad A's with kicker for $2,000 and then hit Quad A's again with
the kicker. I left at 7;30 p.m. with $5400.00 in my pocket.

No Royals, but I left feeling great.

It's good to see someone else on this list who plays at Argosy. I'm
happy to hear about your good fortune, but I find myself asking why is
anyone in their right mind playing DDB at Argosy? It's very rare that
I see anyone playing JoB on that progressive bank which is clearly the
best pay table of the options offered. I believe DDB is only 9/5.
What is the infatuation with getting these mini jackpots when you are
giving up over 1.5% in EV compared to JoB?

Would you players at Argosy Lawrenceburg update the database.
The last update was AUG 2006.

I get to this area about once a year.

Thanks
