Trip Report - Shreveport
Mar. 23 - 26 2004
Stayed at 1 night at Harrah's, 1 night at Boomtown and 2 nights at
Hollywood for a slot tourney. Didn't place in the tourney. Lost
about $600 on this trip.
First day, played SA Triple play quarters and one 10 min. run on
Pick-em at double points. I got quad Jacks at PK and moved back to
the SA games after a certain unpleasant environment moved on. I had
one good run on the Triple play SA, didn't see the Aces for 5 hours,
but since I did hit two Royals ten hands apart I didn't think I
should complain to much. I also played NSU for the first time. I
played at the $5 level at Harrah's Downs and dropped $3000, but it
took a couple hours of play to do it. The above mentioned Royals
were after the big loss so it was very welcome.
Friday.
I managed a good make up run on the Ten play SA at the 'wood which
made up $1600 of my afore mentioned losses. Had dealt tens twice and
dealt sevens once which helped me stay and play for 7 hours and earn
over 2000 points and $200 in cash back.
The Downs has moved out the 3/5 Play VP at the left after the
entrance or north side of the Casino. I asked and they said that
they were planed for the new expansion, I just hope that they don't
down grade the pay tables during the move.
I had a good trip, but it may be a long while before I can go again.
I roughly figured that I played over $100,000 during this 4 day trip
and only dropped 10% of my bankroll, not bad!
Trip report, Shreveport - Short
Sounds as if you got in a lot of playing last week - and you had
some good wins, too! I, on the other hand, had a good time, but I
lost everything I took PLUS a fairly large check I wrote PLUS
another $500 my husband gave me today.
I lost in four casinos - the Downs, Harrah's, Horseshoe, and
Hollywood. Of course, I stayed free (Horseshoe two nights), ate free
at all four places and received all sorts of freebies...all for
right at $2500. Gee, I could have had a European holiday
instead...oh, well.
The VP tournament wasn't much fun; we were informed during the first
round play (we were in the 3rd seating) that someone had hit a royal
earlier. Later, we were told a 2nd royal had been hit. I couldn't
hit 4 OAK anytime; in fact, during the 2nd round I didn't even hit
TRIPS...unheard of...That should have been a warning for me to pack
up and go home. But nooo... We didn't stay to find out the
results...but we moved on to another casino.
Today we left the Horseshoe and went back to Harrah's and I finally
got to have some fun gambling. I had some little wins, but I just
couldn't hit any big numbers to keep me going.
Maybe next time...there's always a next time...we don't have any
trips lined up right now though. My weekends are pretty busy for the
next month.
Keep us informed of any of your trips, judy
