Trip report----Short & late.

Arrived in LV Feb. 10th & picked up rental car. Sue came in the next day.
trip was for my stepsons wedding. Steve is the bartender that has lived in Vegas
for 15 years. he is 40 years old & his first trip to the alter. Heidi is 34 &
ditto. neither has any baggage except her daddy is rolling in $$$$$$$$$. Way
to go Steve. Wedding was at canyon gate golf club. nough said.

We stayed at boulder station & got the usual GREAT RFL treatment. Won a few
bucks.Sue left for home on the 18th & away I go. Arghh.

Gambling log:

2/10/04 at boulder. Won a few bucks.

2/11/04 to 2/21/04 at LVH. Got hammered playing $ FP pikum. I have my
winpoker stat at 99% practicing pikum.

2/22/04 to 2/26/04 at mss. Won $600.00 staying 3 nites playing short pay ddb.
also walked to the other downtown casinos for added fun. I really do like
downtown.

2/27/04 to 3/1/04 at LVH. Got hammered again beyond belief on $ FP pikum. Did
some 8/5 ddb & did win but could not come close to making up the pikum
losses.

Lowlites of trip:
Hammered & more again.
Cold & rainy for 3 weeks.
All those days at LVH playing FP pikum I had only 5 quads.

Highlites of trip:
Steves wedding.
Met up with some great friends & made a few more.
Ate like a God. Benihanas, steak & lobster many times & lost 2 pounds. Also
hit the LVH buffet many times.
Played in the valentine slot turney at LVH & took 4th place for $750.00. 400
players & I missed 1st place by 150 points for $5,000.00. Total of 23,000
points. Oh well, better then a sharp stick in the eye. I'll get em next
time.
Got bumped up to C3 at LVH.
Still had plenty of fun but it is more fun when you win.

Good luck to all... Jerry in Ohio.

Clearly you are a deity (or at least have one watching over your
shoulder, unless this was a "binge and purge" trip

A little more story is called for here. A bump up in comps during a
LVH stay was a relative no-brainer under the former comp system. It's
a murkier event under the current one. (We'll leave aside how things
may change with the new management.)

For a new player to be rerated into their trip it's pretty easy to
rationalize what happens. But I don't think most players have a grasp
how they might look to bump up their comp level if they play
considerably higher on a trip than normal.

In your case, the Benehana dinner wouldn't be covered under your
initial C4 but is covered by C3.

At what point did you ask to be rerated and did they add the
additional meal comps without requiring to tap/exhaust earned
Connection Comps to cover a portion of those meals? How much play
over how many days did you have in at the time the request was granted?

I've been told that if you do exhaust comps for trip charges that they
will consider a discretionary comp to cover remaining charges.
However, they leave your comp account depleted.

If you truly are talking about a comp bump rather than a discretionary
comp, you shouldn't have had to touch your kiosk comps at all for the
related charges.

I'm sure there are inquring minds here other than mine. The LVH
system is a damned difficult one to get your hands around.
