This trip I was determined to play only DW and LDW and stick to
games listed in the VPFREE database.
I did well sticking to the plan only the first day. Ventured into
bonus DW, and had a few good bankroll swings (at .50). over the 3
days at Orleans I hit deuces twice on the LDW, 0 times on DW and
after a huge downswing of $400 on the bonus deuces, I hit a Royal, 1
card draw (my first royal this year)for 2K.
Spent the rest of the time playing live poker and some more DW,
losing just a little bit back.
Ate at the buffet...we liked it.
The Sushi bar twice..we loved it.
Beds were so so, walls did not block out much noise, room was clean
and decent size.
2 days at Red rock. Offer was for a signature suite...very nice.
Bathroom was large and many ammentities. TV in bathroom and Jacuzzi
tub had rows of jets for your back, first one I have seen like that.
Supersize TV's in bedroom and living room (only time we used living
room was to walk thru it to get to bed and bath room).
very comfy bed..great views.
Played live poker...they have an excellent poker room.
Played DW and some Multistrike DW (yes, terrible I know)
Up a little, down a little..no horrible swings lost a few hundred.
Awesome Sushi bar. We like Red Rock.
2 days at Palms.
I feel at home here, because we stay here most often.
Rooms are always good. Bedding and comfort level are very high.
They have our favorite Sushi bar, and we like the mexican rest too.
DW prog bank made a small profit for me hit Deuces once, but it hit
many wild royals and 4 of a kind.
I like to get up early and spend a couple hours on my own (hubby
sleeps in) during the morning. I wonder around, have coffee and find
a machine or two. The multi strike deuces gave me a royal on the 2X
times line after just a few minutes of play. I got up right away,
cause these crack cocain machines of VP can suck up money faster
than anything else I play.
I started playing a deep stack poker (HORSE) tournament (live) at
the Venetian on the 15th...played 10 hours and was still in, so got
to come back on the 16th to finish up. 10 more hours of play and we
were down to 5 players and made a deal for the prize money.
My share was about 6K.
The good news about playing so long in this tournament (basically 2
days, 10 hours each day) is that it keep me from playing much VP
after my 2 royals. So I came home with a nice profit for my week in
Vegas.
The VPfree database was a huge help planning where and what to play.
