Greetings all
Left Boston on the 4th for two nights at the Palms with a $200.
free play. I found this place quite busy with long lines for
giveaways. The vp inventory appeared to be the same as a year ago. I
have not played triple double bonus before and what quite shocked when
I got aces/w/kicker for $1,000! I also found these machines gobble up
your cash at an astonishing rate.
While at the Palms I took a side trip to South Point. I really
didn't care for the atmosphere for playing as it felt as though I was
playing in Walmart or Target.
Checked out of the Palms for a 3 night stay at Sunset Station
which was comped. Played a lot of DDB at the .25/.50 level with wild
swings in bankroll. ( I believe someone on this forum warned me just
how wild this game is.) I did manage a .50 royal holding three in
hearts, thank you! Leaving Sunset for the remainder of my stay with
friends who have a wonderful home with guest house in Henderson.
Returned daily to play early morning hours at Sunset with first
stop at Starbucks. One day I had the worst daily loss in my vp
history. Playing .50 DDB losing $2,000, in one day. Ouch!
I returned to the Palms on Saturday for an invited slot tourny.
It was a four round twenty minute session event. I did really well on
ththee first 3 rounds but bombed out on the 4th. With that said I
managed a placing for a $500. free play! I figured I would take a "pot
shot" with the f/p and cycled it through a $1 10/7 DB. I did hit one
fok and pulled out $300. Getting back to the tourny the top prize was
a $25,000 f/p and by the rules MUST be played out within 24 hours. Now
that would have been exciting playing for a minnow like me.
I found LV to be quite busy, but otoh many for sale signs and
unfinished projects.
Regards, Rod...
