Trip Report JA Nugget 2/23, 2/24

I accompanied my wife to a trade show last weekend at JA's Nugget in
Sparks. We stayed with relatives in Golena. This is my first casino
visit in 3 years. On Friday morning I tried my luck at the $1 9/7 DB
machines located between the crap tables and the door. Played about
90 minutes and left up $200. Was dealt quad deuces, hit quad treys
and quad jacks. After lunch I played the quarter triple play 9/6 JoB
near the Oyster Bar. Very strange play as I hit an ace low straight
flush and another SF before my first quad. I then held three legs and
hit my FIRST EVER RF!! I finished the afternoon up $1022. Saturday I
just had the morning available and returned to the triple play JoB. I
played about three hours and left dead even. Total comp dollars were
52. I'm not sure at what rate the Nugget computes the comps so don't
know my coin-in. I guess I played a total of 8 hours.

Next year the trade show is at the Silver Legacy.

On VP, John gives you .75%. Your coin-in would be around $7000.

BTW, those $1 9/7 DB machines are 10/7 at the quarter level.

Thanks for the response. As I had not been to the Nugget for several
years I was amazed at the transformation. It seemed much quieter with
the TITO. I will bring pay tables with me next time. Each machine
had so many different games at different levels. The 3/5/10 play
machine I hit my RF on was very comfortable and I liked the speed
options. This may have been a gently transition for all you
"regulars", but was a real jolt to me. I look forward to next year's
trade show at the Legacy to explore downtown. I have not been
downtown for 5 years.

At JA, my notebook has $1 8/6 DDYM. If Aces are lit, then it's worth
102.616% -- Jazbo will send you the strategy and perhaps share with
you a very aggressive technique to get the Aces lit. The game was
$0.50 to $5 in AC, which is why I remember it. I discovered the 8/6
version when people were so happy with the 7/5 version (Aces lit were
only 100.555%) because cash back is huge in AC for high limit players.
