On Double Points Tuesday, the bus crowd had most of the point-paying machines
tied up at the Sun, many with short-coins during the afternoon-early evening.
The non-pointpayers were also being played, but were not full. Quite a few
didn't have cards in the machines though. It was crowded overall due to the
sold-out Sun game with waits at the restaurants as well. Once the game started,
restaurant crowd dwindled. Didn't even try to get into the lounges on this trip.
Sunday & Monday at FW was fairly crowded also, again with many short-coiners
playing. It seemed the free glasses were everywhere, and I suppose the
combination of giveaway/summer vacation/lousy weather outside had something to
do with the crowds. But the lounges were fairly empty (no waits to get in) so
I'd guess many of the heavier players were not in attendance. Slight wait at
Cedars even with a reservation on Sunday night, though.
Had a lucky trip overall with 5 W2G's so (for a $1 5 coin player) can't complain
about results, but it is really tough to earn points now. It should be very
interesting to see what the outcome of the no-points-machines experiment is in a
couple of months. Also interesting is the fact that they put in this change in
the for the last 2 months of the six-month earning period, rather than at the
beginning of the next one. Possibly they did that on purpose to see the impact
it had while assuring that a decent number of people had already re-qualified
and would be returning Wolf/Sagamores during the winter months. We'll see.

We arrived at FW Sunday morning. People carrying "free" box of glasses. Long
line at booth so we declined. Had $50 FP and gambled at the $1 10 coin 9/6 DDB.
Not much company. Put $25K through the machine in 5 hours. Left up $1,500.
In 4 days of gambling, we are now down $1,500 and have 250 points towards gold
card project. $75K action/7,500 hands. 2 percent on a 1 percent machine. No
royal and no half royals.
We left around 4 and it was crowded. Observation was most VP being enjoyed was
done with short coin. The $1 25 coin FPJB were back in operation in the Pequot
hi-limit. No one was at them.
Arrived at Mohegan at 5; checked into room and ate in room. It was very crowded.
I went downstairs to see the eagle tribute band and do some scouting. Wolf Den
was packed; the FP PE slant tops were packed. Lots of short coiners and non-PE
gamblers. Most had cards. Didn't recognize anyone. Nobody gambling on 2 machines
at same time.
Saw a lot of 1/2 cent slot machines. Lot's of machines shut down.
One $10 PE machine in hi-limit was in use.
Monday had $75 FP and gambled at the $1 PE uprights. Got a quad; gave them $5K
action and left up $400. By the time we left at 10, the machines were packed.
Mostly short coiners. Didn't see anybody we recognized. One guy came in put his
FP through and left. He didn't have anything good to say about the joint. The
ride backed to Boston included heavy rain and saw one rain-related accident.
R.I. route 6 is dangerous in these conditions.
