Trip Report- Feb 14-15

Played strictly BP, trying to win $5 per casino, using .25/$1/$5
machines as needed. Planned on hitting all 9 houses, but the sleet
and the large crowds & traffic put a stop to that.

Ballys: Very few vp machines here, actually had to wait for a
machine saturday night. Won $10 on 8/5 BP quarters and left. This
place is a dump. Too smoky, hardly any machines, buffet was barely
edible.

Fitzgeralds: Same as above, and didn't eat there because I know
from experience not to.

Grand: Had to play to dollars on 8/5 BP, walked with a $50 profit.
I like this place, very big, clean, clean air, nice selection of new
machines with multi-game-denomination.

Harrahs: Played a the same progression on 7/5 BP quarters and 8/5
BP dollars when needed. Highlights were: 4 queens on dollars, a
straight flush after going back to quarters, and many smaller wins.
Left with $140 profit.

Went back to Harrah's on Sunday to cash in my $30 coupon mailer
which I forgot to bring the previous day. Pocketed $5 never to be
used, played the remaining $25 trying to win $5 more on quarters
(100 credits). Hit 4 2's for a profit of $35, pocketed it and
played again on the original $25. Hit 4 Jacks, pocketed it and
played the $25 again, cashing out a few more small wins before
finally losing the $25, then left.

Overall win for about 1.5 hours of play over 2 days: $225.

Is this your normal playing strategy?

Do you use stop losses or have a maximun loss limit?

Do you use max EV strategy?

Well this was only the second time trying it. I'm
just now seriously getting into VP after years of
BJ. I never really payed much attention to the
inventory at the Tunica places in the past, hence the original plan
to go around to each one. The weather and crowds became
a factor though.

In the future I do plan to jump up in stakes starting at dollars,
and incorporate the DB and DDB games after cycling through on BP.

My loss limit would have been $1250, I brought exactly
enough for 2 cycles of the progression.

If you are asking about playing each hand,
I make most of the plays per basic strategy. I do
shoot for the aces and quads a lot though. I take
my time, and meticulously decide each hand. I'm not
interested in hands per hour or stuff like that.
