TRIP REPORT ~~~ DECEMBER 12 - 15 & 24 - 30, 2005 ~~~ POSTED
Nice TR, but you can get good pizza in the LV metro area. In Henderson, Enzo's (in the Trader Joe's shopping center at the corner of Sunset and Green Valley) has NY-style pizza. Enzo is a transplant from Long Island, and when he's "on," it's the best pizza anywhere.
Also, at the corner of Carnegie and Horizon Ridge, there Three Brothers From Italy From the Jersey Shore. As you can guess from the name, they're a branch of the Three Brothers From Italy pizza places -- you guessed it, on the Jersey Shore. They're pizza is consistently good, but the slices are ENORMOUS. (If you're going there from Green Valley Ranch Station, Carnegie is the street with the light at the hotel entrance. Go south on Carnegie, and the shopping center is about a mile south, on the near right corner of Horizon Ridge.)
Chinese food here is west coast style -- and unlike that which you get in NY. There's good Chinese food in Chinatown (I like Emperor's Garden best), but it's not NY style. (I especially notice the difference in dumplings -- NY style uses thicker wrappers.)
Sounds like you had fun though.
