Got back Thurs nite on what was 4 me a rare loser lately...Oh well, can't win'em all
Airline - flew Allegant otta Ia. I'd swear when I lined up trip on line that they stated it wss cheaper to check luggage @ airport than on line & besides I wasn't sure whether I'd check 1 or 2 bags. We get to airport checking 2 & find out they are charging $35 each bag each way...$140 bucks - so much 4 cheap flite. They supposedly changed their rules 2 weeks ago.
Car Rental - Dollar was the cheapest when I booked. I never get insurance cuz I'm covered by my insurance. The gal read me the riot act that if I didn't have insurance & had a problem they had the rite to charge me 4 downtime...twice rental rate 4 up to 28 days. Still didn't get their insurance @ their outlandish rates, but no more Dollar.
Airport Gambling - as usual threw away a coupla $$$ while waiting 4 plane. I was wondering, 1. w/ no cameras that I cud see, what's to stop the slot machines from being cheated like the old days w/ magnetic devices or whatever they used to use? Not that I have the intention or talent to do so, 2. Has anyone ever hit a royal @ airport. There have actually been times I've done OK out there, but no royals.
Laughlin - Went there 4 a day. Took some of the side trips talked about on LVA. Stopped @ that 'little" casino on 163(??) on the way & won a coupla bucks. Had a draw to 4 to a royal...no hit, but I thought it wudda been unique to hit one on those poor pay machines we were playing just fer the heck of it on potty stop. Harrahs has to be the worst wasteland for VP of any casino I've been in lately. Probably been hit by now, but $1 10/7 DB progressive at Aquarious was at like $5900 on Tues. Cost me $800 chasing that 1.
Tahiti Village - nice, but as I told our hosts (their time share), sorry but when that elevator door opens from my room I want a VP machine w/i about 20 ft....I'll take downtown & comped rooms, thank U
M - said I wudn't, but went there 4 awhile...if'n there's 99% VP in the place, I cudn't find it...won't B back
Hooters, Fitz - FINALLY found the 9/6 JOB @ Hooters & 10/7 DB @ Fitz. Looked 4 both B4, but cud never find em...lost at both tho - $1 Job was not very good to me this trip.
Overall - another good trip (my 4th this year). Went to a coupla shows, had usual good, but not spectacular food using LVA & ACG coupons, mostly lost w/ my match plays, did lousy in the Fremont VP tourney...it took 2 royals to win I think as winning score was above 10K in 1000 hands.
Other stuff - Made a very rare appearance in a local Hold'em tourney. I was by far the chip leader @ end when everyone wanted to split 5 ways. I agreed (probably stupidly, but I felt all 4 players left were probably better than me & I was in it 4 the charity aspect & fun. I felt like Moon - unbelievably good cards & countless suck-outs. I think I knocked 7 out of 31 players out & shudda outed a coupla more if I learn how to slow play my hans. I've been chasing a coupla of way-overdo slot progressives. Stopped by last nite on way home $12,000+ (50c) & $16,000 ($1) had been hit. home to bed.
