Checked into Palms on a 2nt comp w/2-$25.00 free plays-they
said upon checkin that my reservation confirmation # was for
January, I posed the question how could this be? I received the
invite in FEB!!!
A quick trip to the back room brought a manager who took care of the
problem pronto. I thought the rooms were rather generic for such a
"hot" hotel, the bed was adequate. On the vp side-some very good
machines here..On the second morning on the .25 FPDW progressive
I was dealt a garbage hand, tossed it and was redealt a royal in
spades! Progressive was at $1,414.00, yipee. We checked out for
our next two nts at Sunset Station, one of our favorite places,
everything was as expected..love the optimum play banks. Usually
play at the quarter level but decided to try .50 on DDB on the FIRST
HAND I pushed the draw button and was stunned to see:AAAA4!!. Went
over to Fiesta
Henderson one afternoon--lost $600.00 in about 4/5 hours-
ouch...Hadn't been to Sams in a while, but managed to get a royal on
the fpdw bank slant tops near the buffet...Played many,many hours 10-
15 perday, but lately get here only once a year. We went to Wynn,
got 2 buffets each
which was very good, also saw Celine which we loved. I know that
the plays in lv are not what they used to be but believe me, the
machines there play MUCH DIFFERENTLY, from Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun,
where I normally play. PPS: one morning at Palms in walked a Pimp
at 7am in a full lenght mink coat and hat (white of course) I
thought I was watching a SHAFT movie from the 60's--only in lv!!
