Trip report 2/20 - 2/24

FOUR QUEENS:

If you have the RFB at Four Queens and have dinner at Hugo's, if you order drinks, even if you keep it under the value specified on your offer ( typically $150), the drink charge appears on your room bill and has to be manually adjusted. That sounds like a Harrah's trick. This was the first trip where that happened. The lady at the front desk took off the drink charge but if you don't look at your bill when you check out, you might be in for a surprise.

They are still doing the cashback match in freeplay. You have to cash out each day. So, if you earned $25 in cashback and cash it out that day, they will add $25 in freeplay to your account. I used the double points coupon in ACG as well and they told me it would take 2 days to post. My wife did her ACG coupon and it posted immediately.

Unusual session: I played about 2 hours of quarter 10/7 double bonus and had as many quads (4) as full houses (4). 2 of the four full houses came in the last 15 minutes. All quads came from holding a pair.

I then played a little bit of the $1 10/7 DB and hit 3 small quads in 30 minutes.

Does anyone have an estimate on the play needed for various Four Queens offers?

GOLDEN GATE:

Coupon in ACG will get you $25 in freeplay after you earn 100 points ( $200 CI on VP, $100 CI on slots). I did a very quick scout and found 9/6 DDB for quarters at the bar. You also get a funbook for a new player sign up which includes a coupon for a free shrimp cocktail.

They were running a 10x points promo but it only on my vp play, not the slots play ( I was playing someone else's coin).

WESTIN:

Nothing much left there. No NSUD, no 9/6 jacks, no 8/5 bonus poker. Comps still accrue pretty quickly. Tables weren't open during the day so no ACG match play opportunity.

PLAZA:

Comps expire after each trip

HARD ROCK:

Expansion is nice. The cage has been moved to the expanded area.

CASINO ROYALE:

Expansion is very nice. New tables, a consolidated food court, bathrooms that don't remind you of a truck stop. I did manage to hit the Kings full of Queens $50 bonus.

Does anyone know play levels to get a) free rooms b) free rooms on weekends c) $20/$50/$100 freeplay ?

ORLEANS:

The quarter triple play progressive near the east entrance was at $20,000 for the dealt royal. 9/4/4 deuces or 8/6/26 JOB. The nickel triple play progressive was at $8000 for the dealt royal.

That has never happened to me, and I was there 2 weeks ago. My understanding is as long as you keep the drinks under $40 - its all cool and covered. My bills are always 0 at checkout.

I dont get the cashback match at all, but I do get, basically whenever I want, the RFB and $200 in freeplay, and cashback based on play at the end of the trip including gifts and souvenier items. About $12K/day seems to do it - but be aware that they discount 10/7 progressive play of any denomination in their equations.

Also, if you are over the established dollar limit, check with your casino host. They will cover the charges if you level of play warrents it.

** Tom, must either be new in the last 2 weeks or we got singled out for some reason. Our bar tab was $12.

** Tom, the freeplay match is not a mailed offer. It is available to everyone.

Many times the hosts are aware of this and comp the drink bill before you see it. Other times you just have to have them call a host just before or even at check out.

My host assured me it as long as the total bill was under the limit, the drinks would be comped. In 8 trips it's been true.

Johnny - thanks for bringing this to my attention. I have been collecting about $100 in cash back at the very ends of my trips. When I return from 3-6 months later there is no freeplay in my account ( must expire or something ).
So you're saying if I play to the tune of 50 bucks on day 1 - , cash out at 10PM or when the booth closes, I get the $50 cashback and $50 freeplay ?
Question - is that freepaly available right away or a wait of 24 hours /next day ?

The free play is available immediately.

Tip - if you are going to be playing at the 4Q the next day, then wait until then to play it through. The free play earns points towards that days total.

I was there in December for a few days. I played the 25c FP Double Bonus Progressive exclusively. I don't know exactly how much coin in I had, but from the time I spent playing it couldn't have been more than about $5k. (I don't try to play fast, I try to play accurately).

I just recently received an offer from the Four Queens of 2 comp nights, plus $50 free play. Not a lot, to be sure, but I'll be going back there in May. And I'm also spending 3 nights in the Encore at $99 per night, plus another $50 free play, even though my coin in to their Low Pay Video Poker was by our standards small, and by theirs truly cheap.

I can't speak to thresholds but I know they treat you well if you play well.

I play only the dollar DB machines between the cashier's cage and the rest
rooms. I play four hours/day (not all at one time) and for that, all my
meals are comped including one dinner for two-sometimes more-at Hugo's. I
have a couple of friends living in Vegas and I try to invite them down to
join me for meals so that it is usually 2-3 people per meal at Magnolia's,
or Hugos for the one night each trip. They also put me up in a mini-suite
(vs. a standard room) and I am greeted each trip with a fruit basket which
costs them $35. And then there is the free play which amounts to $200/mo
i.e. $200 per trip with a one trip per month max. As someone else pointed
out, their cash back is pretty good which they will match in additional free
play on a daily basis. That is, you have to zero out your cash back (by
getting a check) before midnight each day in order for it to be added onto
your free play. I think the free play is available immediately but for sure
the next morning because I usually quit after I get my check. For me, it
amounts to only $20 or so each day or just four free hands! But it's better
than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! Sometimes they have something
going on in the Canyon Club and when they do, I can get comped there as
well.

I didn't get all that when I first started playing there about five years
ago so they may need to check you out for a trip or two before you get as
much. Others may do better than I have if they've played there longer.

I've been getting offers of 2 free nights at the Palms plus $250 in free
play as others have too but I hesitate to go there. It would be like going
out with another woman. (I've been married for 44 years.)

In short, I think the Four Queens does an excellent job and I am quite happy
with that as my "home away from home." In fact, I will be back there again
from 3/12 to 3/16. Look me up in my "office" and I will buy you lunch!

Happy Gambling,

"Lee" from MN

** Well, we don't have a host and I know I have had a glass of wine with dinner before and it wasn't on the total.

The comp at Chicago Brewing Company worked fine even though we have food and drinks.

what machine and how much coin-in did you do to get this offer?
