Tribal VP Gambling

The wife and I just returned from a day up at an Indian casino up in Oklahoma. I understand that all the machines there are "Class 2."

We found a bunch of JOB 9/6 machines and played for 4-5 hours and came out even for the day. I was down what the wife was up. This tells me that the payoffs might be around the 99.54% of a Vegas "Class 3" machine.

These machines were progressives and the $.50 royal was $2697.81 when we left which probably increase the payoff odds

Is there a difference between payouts or play on a full pay Class 2 or Class 3 machine? Is there any different way to play it?

Oklahoma is a Class III jurisdiction. The VP is probably like Nevada. If you find a Class II machine, it will usually have a Bingo card on the back glass. If you go into the Help sequence you will find a reference to a genie (IGT) or match number that might change the outcome. This indicates a Class II machine as well.

If it is class II it plays like a slot machine, regardless of pay table. Your choice of discards is irrelevant to the final outcome, hence the genie.
