Good catch, Harry!
Some people are just security "lightning rods," I suppose. And I'm guessing
that there is more to the story that we are not being told. Calling Paul
Harvey!
In over ten years of playing VP, spending over 50 hours/week in LV casinos,
and frequently checking paytables, I have been asked for my ID exactly ONCE.
That was back at the Reserve (now FH), and I was checking to see if any Super
Sevens were playable at a bar. I handed the guard my ID and my player's
card, and showed him the money I was carrying. He didn't even look at the ID,
just handed it back and said, "Thank you very much, sir, and have a nice day!"

PS: As an avid science fiction reader, it occurs to me that "stars" and
"credits" are both generic terms for money, frequently used in sci fi. If one
substitutes "vpcredithunter" for "vpstarhunter," maybe Riv security got it
right! Or not.

Surprise Trip reports....Well Im back and promise to post a most
interesting report upon my return from LV.....However I wanted to
report than with 5 minutes of my arrival at Fitzgeralds I was stopped
and detained by Security for suspicious behavior.....My crime...
checking out the payscale on 1 Video Poker Machine!.....First the
security guard demanded me to show her ID...When asked why she said I
looked familiar and my behavior was suspicuous...She then said
since this was private property I must show her ID upon demand...I
refused....When asked what I did wrong....She said I was going up to
a number of machines and hitting their buttons without putting in
money....I tell her thats not true....A security supervisor now shows
up says he has to believe the guards story.... I ask the security
guard how many machines she saw me touching and because now her boss
there she changes her story and says only one....I said since I
havent been to the Fitz since last year I checked out the payscale on
one machine to see what it currently was and didnt hit any buttons...
upon further questioning by me she then said maybe she was wrong
and I didnt hit any buttons
Since I'm loathe to suggest that there's likely a bridge above SH (I
find that just about anything under the sun is plausible when it comes
to vp), I can only assume that SH's casino presence is a bright and
gleaming one - one that is almost impossible to overlook should you
happen by.
