Has anyone played this? If so, can you come up with an average of
what a four of a kind pays?

Ashamed as I am to admit it, this was one of the games of choice when
a friend and I would visit MSS, although the progressive never got
high enough to make it a really good play. I'd estimate over the
years we've hit between 800 and 1000 quads on these machines.
The five payouts of 140, 180, 250, 500, and 5000 coins broke out
roughly as follows:
140 - 60%
180 - 25%
250 - 10%
500 - 5%
5000 - freakin' never.
All in all, the game always seemed to pay a little better than Bonus
Poker, but nothing to get excited about. The irritant is that the
quality quads, such as Aces, seemed to get no better "chest seeding"
than any other quad. Of course, it was always fun to get that 500
coiner for a set of 5's.

My wife and I played quite a bit of Treasure chest on our last trip.
I always get the 140 coin payoff, but my wife has hit the 140/180/500
payoffs. I try to look at it as JoB game w/ higher quad payoff, so
that when I get payed 140 for 4 aces (which I have), I don't pummel
the machine. -Russ
I play this game quite a bit when I am in Vegas and
always keep pretty good stats.I have averaged about
160 per four of a kind over a few years. However on my
last trip I hit the 5000 on the $1 Treasure Chest at
MSS.That has NOT been averaged into my stats yet and I
had also hit the 5000 once before I started keeping
stats.
