This is for those of you out there with LOTS of Fiesta points, and no easy
way to use them up. For quite some time, it was assumed that Stations and
Fiestas would be merging points and cards, but this seems to have been taken off
the table.
I remember some time ago that there were some posts here saying that there
were sometimes problems transferring points. Certainly, if you get a slot club
attendant who is unfamiliar with the procedure, there could be a problem.
However, the slot club supervisors DO seem to be knowledgeable on how to do
this.
Twice in the past ten days, I have moved points from Fiesta to Stations,
both times at Red Rock, with no problems. You must have both your cards, and
know both your PINs. I was told today that when you do this, they are supposed
to issue a paper comp, but ten days ago they did not. I was assured, however,
that the points transferred would be the first ones to be used when swiping my
Stations card. Transferred points must be used within 48 hours, or they "go
away." Ten days ago, I moved 300,000 points to pay for a $500 dinner at
T-bones, and today, I moved 100,000 points to buy a $100 gift card at the RR gift
shop.
I have several million Fiesta points, and can't get my friends to drive that
far to have dinner. And any NEW Station points I earn can be redeemed for
FP. So I figure I might as well use my Fiesta points for comps at Stations
until they are used up. I also have several million OLD Station points, but when
those are gone, they are gone for good!

PS: BTW, if you want another way to use up Fiesta points, FH has a nice
variety of liquor in its gift shop, and the prices are "only" around 2+ times
what you'd pay in a grocery/discount liquor store.
