HI,
I'll try to be brief. After posting here and listening to comments
about where to stay, I decided upon Paris. A MISTAKE !!
Arrived on time on Tues. afternoon( 5 and a half hour flight) set
to celebrate birthday # 60 the next day. Car was on time and
courteous driver whisked me to Paris. Room was disappointing. Not
dirty just dull and plain. Went down to Diamond lounge to chow
before playing. Food was garbage both in offerings and look. I am
not a picky eater but after surveying the choices I walked right
out ! Diamond lounges in AC are much better. Anyway went to find
8/5 BP machines as indicated in survey and forget it, all have been
downgraded. Paris is a VP Wasteland. Angry now, I walked over to
Caesars, presented my 7 star card and asked for a room for four
nights and a car to pick me up at Paris. Request taken care of
immediately by host on duty( Ken Huston).
Eight $ Jacks machines still available also two $ TP are on the
same bank. Gambling was not profitable.
Highlight of my trip was surprise visit by my two children who
knocked on my door Wed. morning! They stayed till Thurs. evening.
What a great birthday present. We ate at the Mesa Grill on my
Harrahs birthday offer ( $400 comp).
We played alot at Wynn. I love this place. What's not to like ?
Clean, clear machines..lots of inventory for a $ Jacks player both in
SL and TP, great feel to casino, great looking cocktail waitresses
and an extrememly courteous staff. My daughter hit a royal on a $
Jacks machine and my son did very well playing in the Poker Room. I
didn't win, but my play should generate future offers( 6800 pts.) as
was my intent and hopefully I will be back this summer.
After kids went back to NY I ate at Raos in CP..very good food, and
also ate Fri. night at the Wynn buffet which I liked alot.
Tell you one thing; Caesars looked old, dark and somewhat dumpy when
compared to "Stevie Boy's"place.
