TR Brief - I promise

First time to stay at Palms. VP highlights below:

Sunday
3pm: arrived, checked in, found 2 empty chairs at FPDW
4pm: wife hit royal for $1076; played till our eyes got too blurred

Monday
Nothing to write home about

Tuesday
2am: got down early to find FPDW seats
3am: I hit the royal for $1101; still no deuces for either of us
8am: I finally hit quad deuces
8pm: we both hit deuces

Wednesday
7:50am: waiting for buffet to open we both put in a $20 bill
7:55am: my $20 gone
7:56am: wife hits deuces
6-10pm: I hit deuces 3 more times

Thursday:
3am: wife wakes me up to play again before early flight out
3:30am: I hit deuces
4:00am: wife hits deuces

Between us wound up with 2 royals, 9 deuces and a fat wallet for a change. So far, we like staying at the Palms.

Only complaint: They play the most god-awful music I've ever heard, over & over.

Congratulations on the fat wallet - unfortunately I don't get that feeling often enough anymore.

Regarding the music at the Palms, after exposing my 21 year old son to Vegas and VP for the first time on his birthday, he is now requesting that next time we stay at the Palms "because it was the only casino we were in with good music and VP". At least he got the VP part right.

Bob, I can only guess, based on your musical tastes, that you and I are of the same generation, but I can almost guarantee you that, musically at least, you and I do not share the demographical profile that the Palms management is looking for.

Thanks. Most the people who were actually gambling were my age or over, but I guess they prefer to cater to the ones going to the clubs. I love Beatles, Stones, even Alice Cooper, but I can't take this 21st century "music".

Ah....if only the Hard Rock had decent VP.
