Of course you would try to get it for less than the current asking price and here is the reason:
The seller has it marked up 4 or 5 times it's real value according to what they think it is worth...they are mentally prepeared to to take less and will sell it for only a 2 times markup (but only if you haggle with them)....when they do they still belive they are making money and that you paid too much. They are completely satisfied with this feeling of getting over on a buyer. You feel great because you did your homework, unlike the seller, and you knew the real value of the item. This technique, however, is not recommended if you buying it from your mother. ; )

This is my question. Let's say you collect casino related memorabilia. You
come upon an article that you know is marked way below its market value. Would
you still try to get it cheaper?
