I would say that you should be able to get a view of something at any
Harrah's casino. Just ask - is it possible to get a nice view? Say, I would
prefer the strip, but if not, a view of the mountains would be nice. If you are
Diamond or 7 Stars, be sure to show that card as you check in and ask if they
can give you a free upgrade.

You probably will need to show your room key for the pool, so when you check
in and if your room is not ready, tell the clerk you would like to go to the
pool before your room is ready, can they give you some sort of key or
whatever you need to get in. They should be able to come up with something.

I have checked into Ballys and other casinos many times early, and found
that the room was ready. You can also call in advance and advise they that you
would like an early check in and view of whatever, and that might help.

I almost always arrive in the morning and have no problem getting a
room at Bally's or Paris before the 3 PM check-in time. However, once
I requested an upgraded room and they told me it wouldn't be ready
until check-in.

When staying at Bally's, be sure to ask for a room away from the
elevator. In some rooms the clicking sound of the elevator is
annoying. If you get such a room, call the front desk and they will
get you another room.

I'm a new member but long-time reader. I read the Bally's comment
about the elevators and I concur. The only thing is on the lower
floors there is no audible clicking sound, but there is on the mid to
higher floors. I always thought that was weird.
