At Greektown the other day, I noticed a couple of things that bear mentioning.? The first item was a T of diamonds that had a crease across one of the corners.? The crease was about 1/4 inch long.? The card was removed and the game went on.? Two hands later ( when that deck came out of the auto shuffler) another card was creased in the same manner.? It was the T of clubs.? The floorman came over and gave a warning about marking cards.? If this was someone trying to mark cards, they were pretty bad at it.? The mark was huge, easily seen from any seat at the table.? Secondly, I'm a little surprised they didn't review the last 30 minutes of tape ( DVD?) upstairs.?
The second thing I noticed was that a dealer raked $5 out of a pot , plus $1 for the jackpot on a pot that couldn't have contained $35.? I will be watching the rake amounts more closely in the future.
Besides that, the level of play in general seems to be getting worse not better.? All of those smart internet players must not have made it to the casino yet.? $3 / $6 is the biggest limit game usually dealt.? There are plenty of NL games but with $6 per half hour ( except at the $50 min / $100 max buy in game)? you are paying too much for the game.? At NL, because everyone thinks they are Howard freaking Lederer, you only get about 12 hands an hour.? Maybe 15.? Paying a buck per hand is too much.
By the way, the poker pro tables ( no live dealer) are empty every time I go there.? I think they might be joining the Guaranteed play machines at the Stations casinos.
