To Harry Porter (re: LVH comps)

Hi Harry

I think you misunderstood what LHV offered me.

I said i'm in Vegas 4/8-4/11 and am comped (ie: FREE)
at Hilton for 4days/3nites with a $50 food credit, and
free show. the last time i was there i played $4k/day
for 4 days (but didn't stay there).

Now since i'm comped, does that sound like a hotel
promotion or a casino promotion. if it's a hotel
promotion, should i still cancel and rebook going
through the casino (and why)?

THX!

Comped room offers come from the casino. (Sorry if I was previously a
little dense in picking up on the exact basis of your offer.)

The concern previously expressed over hotel offers had to do with
potentially recouping any cost paid via a comp and, of course, doesn't
apply here.

An unsolicited comment about your stay this weekend: In your last
described play you took a shot at the $.25 10-plays for about an hour
each day over the course of 4 days and made out extremely well.

I'll note that I wouldn't normally steer anyone to these machines who
isn't comfortable with $1 single line play. The 10-plays think
nothing of consistently grinding down $400-$800 an hour in between
strong streaks. That's "comfortable" for most $1 players, but could
make an early, ugly end to someone's trip who's not prepared for it.

------------

Concerning comps: While you've been provided a $50 food credit, your
play could qualify for more. You may wish to charge all food and
beverage to your room and only draw against your kiosk comps to settle
those charges at check out (vs. pulling a comp prior to a meal).

If your play should happen to be reasonably strong, say $10K/day, you
stand a decent shot at having all meal charges comped (possibility
without having to tap your earned kiosk comps).

If your play comes in at $10K+/day, stop by the host office (near the
theater entrance) after you've had dinner and completed the bulk of
your play on your last night (or well in advance of checkout the next
morning). Tell them the type of comp that you came in on and ask them
to review your play to see if you'd be eligible for any food/beverage
comp aside from / in addition to the kiosk comps.

No promises ... but it happens.
