If anyone knows, or has experience, what is the general casino policy on TITO machines on cashing a ticket and getting a W2-g?

TITO has nothing to do with W2-G's. If you get over $1200 on a single hand (counting all hands on multi-play) your machine will lock up and you will get a W2-G. Some TITO machines lock up for all Royals, others will not for a pay < $1200. This is set by property policy, not the fact that it is TITO-equipped. You can get a ticket for well in excess of $1200 without generating a W2-G as long as no single pay was that amount.

A W2-G is generated when an individual win exceeds $1200.
TITO is an accumulation and is NOT subject to a W2-g EVER

True. On some machines the meter will just keep racking up credits
as long as you keep winning and don't hit anything for $1200 or
higher on any one hand. But, I have also played machines that will
start spitting out tickets if a win would cause the credit meter to
exceed $1200. For example, if the meter is at $1150 and you hit a
hand for $75, the machine will spit out a ticket for $75 instead of
adding to the credit meter. I suppose this is done to avoid any
confusion over whether or not an >$1200 ticket would be taxable by
making it impossible to get such a ticket.
