Tipping

I get disgusted with every single person in the casino thinking they deserve a tip. And every person who does tip them all looking down at the people that don't. I can't imagine how much I've tipped lifetime to poker dealers and waitresses etc. I'm sorry, I refuse to tip someone for carrying a payout to me if I actually hit a 40,000-1 Royal. :frowning:

I'm with you. I've received between $50K and $60K in royal pay outs.
I think I have given a total of $20 in tokes (and that slot attendant
deserved it).

I mostly play VP for comps and try to make my ev at BJ. At BJ I will throw
out a white to double for less when I have a hard 16 v dealer 7. If the
dealer gives me a hand and/or busts his/her hand we are both happly because
the white is for the dealers.

Hey Jack,

I think that you've got a great strategy. In fact, I've been doing the same thing for a little while now. I originally began playing BJ, however, a red-chip player due to BR constraints. I realized that I wasn't getting much exposure to comps, mailers/cash-back and tier points due to such low limits. Then I realized that I could stretch my BR and accumulate tier points by learning a proper VP strategy and implementing it while getting a better-than-descent opportunity at building the BR as I'm looking for the Royal.

So now I find myself playing BJ to try to grow BR while switching to VP -- when I get a bad run of cards in consecutive shoes and start going on TILT -- growing in tier status and receiving plenty of mailers as I slowly work my way to Diamond at Harrah's, and vice-versa back to BJ from VP when my eyes get tired or I feel that I put in too much BR in the machine and it's time to rebuild.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
