Tipping with TIITO

Not from me. I stick with my usual and customary percentage of the win

I have in the past.>>>>>>>

That goes toward proving my point. If an employee is doing ten handpays
an hour instead of five like (s)he may have done before TITO when there
were more duties and employees, that employee is now making more per hour
in tips if people are still tipping the same percentage. I'm not
criticizing anyone for the amount they choose to tip as it is a personal
matter. I do find myself tipping a smaller percentage these days.
Partially this is because the games today tend to have a smaller player
edge and partially because the floorpeople are performing a lesser valued
service to me then in the past due to TITO. Is it their fault? No. Am I
cheap? Probably.

If you want fault for lower tips then blame your employer. Players
are not going to toke a machine and as their is less service
(available employees) tokes can go down in total even though some
may get more just because there are less employees.
If the government changes the tax rules and raises the reportable
sum above $1200, tokes and employees can be further reduced. I
watched a guy laugh at a young lady expecting a tip when he hit a
$1250 straight flush on a $5 machine after he had already put in
over $1500.

The players should not be expected by your employers to pay the
majority of your salary. You are just bringing someone money they
won from a machine because the government says that forms must be
filled out.
