For the last few years all the major poker tournaments have had percentages
withheld from the prize pool for the tournament staff, so it should not be
considered stingy to let the matter rest there. If the dealers don't like
their compensation package they need to take that up with their employer.

Guess Joe didn't want to "pass the sugah." I've read that 3% was lifted off
the top of entry fees for tokes to tournament staff for the 2006 WSOP. Half
of that reserved for dealers. If that is correct, essentially everyone who
paid the $10K entry gave a $300 tip.

was stingy and I had heard rumors of a dealer strike for this year, but
