Why not form a union? Many service jobs in Las Vegas earn a living wage

Eek!!! I hate the idea of paying dues to someone who can then tell me when I can or cannot work. I like the idea of being able to keep most of the money I earn and work where and when I want. If I don't like a particular job situation, I would want the decision to be mine as to being able to stay there or go work somewhere else.
