tipping on hand payoff

I play a lot on the old coin-dropper dime machines, so anything over $100
is a handpay. Because I've gotten to know the slot attendants, I always
give her $5. On bigger handpays (up to $400), I might do a $10. And always
at least $1 to the cocktail server every time I get any sort of beverage.

The last time I got a $1000 handpay for a royal this summer in Ely, I gave
$20 to the attendant and $20 to the woman at the cage. (They both seemed
surprised.)

I was slow to coming around on the idea of tipping housekeeping, but I try
to remember to leave $2/day. At the places I stay, I never noticed any
difference is service, tip or no.

For those of you who militantly don't tip at all, I bet I can guess your
political leanings.

Yes, I agree. Those Woodrow Wilson progressives leave a lot to be desired.

LOL.
